On June 20, 2025, Shakarim University hosted a republican methodological seminar on the topic "Interdisciplinary approach in education: at the intersection of sciences - studying the possibilities of interdisciplinary learning and project methods", dedicated to the 60th anniversary of the candidate of physical and mathematical sciences, associate professor Zholymbaev Oraltai Muratkhanovich.
The seminar was attended by leading scientists and experienced teachers from various universities of the country. During the plenary and breakout sessions, topical issues of education were comprehensively discussed – interdisciplinary integration, the STEM approach, project-based learning, the use of artificial intelligence in education, the principles of academic integrity and modern educational technologies.
On behalf of the University, the official opening of the seminar was conducted by Member of the Board, Vice–Rector for Academic Affairs Daribayev Beimbet Serikuly, who read out a congratulatory message from the Minister of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Rector of the University.
The seminar was attended by: Academician of the National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Doctor of Physico-mathematical Sciences, Professor L.N. Gumilev, Myrzakulov Ratbai Kagazovich; Doctor of Physico-mathematical Sciences, Professor of al-Farabi Kazakh National University Kanguzhin Baltabek Esmatovich; Director General of the Institute of Information and Computing Technologies, Doctor of Physico-Mathematical Sciences, Professor Bektemesov Maktagali Abdimazhitovich; K.Ph.D., Associate Professor of Astana International University – Almir Askarovich Aniyarov; Professor of Tomsk State University – Mikhail Alexandrovich Chervonny, as well as other scientists who presented reports on their research areas.
The seminar was aimed at studying the theoretical and applied aspects of interdisciplinary education, as well as at identifying new directions for the introduction of innovative methods into the educational process.
